ABOUT BRADY ELLIS

Award-Winning Composer, Founder of Production Music Mentors & Audio Junkies

Brady Ellis is one of the country’s most sought-after composers of music for film, television, and video games. His unique understanding of diverse music genres combined with his passionate drive for fresh and innovative sounds.

Over the past three decades, Brady has proved himself as an accomplished composer with an impressive body of work that can be heard on ABC, CBS, The History Channel, theatrical features, and video games as well as both national and international ad campaigns for AT&T, American Airlines, Novell, Circuit City, and Trivago. Brady has also worked as a top-flight composer for world-class production houses including Non-Stop Music (a division of Warner/Chappell Music) and Amphibious Zoo Music. In 2019, Brady launched the Audio Junkies Production Music Library, which is distributed by Amphibious Zoo Music.

Originally from Northern Virginia, Brady grew up exploring the east coast music scene from New York to Miami. After studying jazz piano at Shenandoah Conservatory, Brady earned a Bachelors of Music degree, with an emphasis on sound recording, from B.Y.U.

A: All you need is a computer and a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). Whatever your musical level is, we can work with you. We can help with music theory, composition, production, mixing, and mastering. The plan is to get you to a place where you can learn the skills to start earning money making music.

A: This program includes a path to becoming a working composer. If you thought of attending college to learn and train to do music production, chances are that you would end up spending tens of thousands of dollars on non-practical courses and textbooks, and have little to no job prospects. School also lacks to prepare composers for real world experiences.

Other online courses give you training from some working composers and many others that are not. But there will still be no work opportunities after the training. With Production Music Mentors, you will be working on actual projects and placements into music libraries. Training is only half the equation. PMM also includes the other half–working.

A: We can certainly help you if you only have limited skills. Plus, you will be learning things to help you become a working composer.

A: You can work at your own pace and schedule new lessons when you can. Of course, the more time you put into improving your skills, the faster you can get to becoming a working composer.

A: Credit/debit card or PayPal are both acceptable forms of payment.

A: The amount of mentoring sessions you will need depends on the student’s talents, work ethic, and ease of understanding music production concepts.

A: As you work with Production Music Mentors, we will help you write and produce music that not only will be at the quality to be in a music library, but also to be written in a style that will attract usage.

A: Each lesson is one hour long. During that time, you will gain a lot of information and have work assignments to make sure you get the most out of that hour.

A: After choosing the mentor you would like to work with, look for available times in their schedule and book a time.

A: We have talented mentors who are highly qualified and have professional experience in many styles. If there is a style you are mostly interested in, listen to the mentor’s playlist, and find the one that works best for you.

A: Our lessons are run through Zoom. It’s easy and free for you, downloadable software. The mentor will email you a link prior to the lesson. The zoom lesson can also be recorded.

A: You can choose how often you’d like to meet with the mentors. It is designed to work at your pace.

A: First, you’ll attend the free 15-minute online consultation. During that consultation, I would assess your abilities and would learn about the musical direction you want to take. I would recommend a mentor. You would start taking lessons with that mentor to work on music that could potentially be placed in a music library.
